Last week we made this beautiful creation for a beautiful wedding at Loch Lomond Golf Club, a private members club in the grounds of Rossdhu House. As soon as you enter the grounds you know you're in a high end venue, the road winds around the tree lined banks of the loch, leading up to the magnificent house, with a fleet of the club's gleaming black land rovers lined up on the driveway.
Nicola had asked for the sugar flowers to tie in with the floral arrangements for the venue, with a pale pink and white colour palette. Ruffled David Austin roses were the predominant bloom, with some gyp, thistles and delicate spring green leaves.
There flowers took a total of around 60 hours to make, with tones of nude and ivory to balance out the pink.
We loaned out our milk glass cake stand for this cake, which finished it off perfectly! This was such a joy to work on, for the loveliest couple too. Nicola send me a lovely message saying;
Hi Edwina! Thank you so much for the most beautiful cake we have ever seen! It looked so gorgeous and tasted heavenly! The sugar flowers were stunning and complimented all of our flower arrangements perfectly! Just perfect! Thank you so much again - Your hard work on designing our wedding cake really was the icing on the cake for our wedding!
